In Luke’s gospel, the day of the resurrection was jam-packed. The women came to the tomb, found it empty, and announced it to everyone. Later that day, two men were walking to Emmaus when Jesus appeared to them (but they did not recognize him until he broke bread with them). That evening, Jesus appeared among his disciples while they were eating dinner, opened the scriptures to them, commissioned them to share the good news with the whole world, and then ascended into heaven. What a day! We will take a look at Jesus’s last apparance to his disciples in Luke’s gospel. Rev. Diane will preach a sermon entitled “What a Day! What Now?” based on Luke 24: 36b – 48. See you Sunday, in person or online!
