Over the last two Sundays, we have taken a look at the story of Joseph and his brothers, including their relocation from Canaan to Egypt during a 7-year famine. This Sunday, we will look ahead to the book of Exodus, where we read about the descendents of Joseph and his brothers. We’ll talk about the rise of a different (and much less kind) Pharaoh, the reasons why Israelites were enslaved, and how a baby born to an Israelite woman came to be adopted by Pharaoh’s daughter. And we’ll explore how the experiences of the Israelites in Egypt connect to our lives today. Diane will be preaching a sermon based on Exodus 1:8 – 2:10. See you Sunday, in person or online!
