This week, we continue our journey through the Old Testament as we follow the reign of King Solomon during the building of the Temple. Solomon had promised to build the Temple as a place of prayer and sacrifice in Jerusalem, and also as a home for the Ark of the Covenant. This week, we reenter the story as the Temple is completed and dedicated. And Solomon does something surprising in this dedication - he opens the Temple for foreigners to pray too. We will explore this story in a sermon based on selections from 1 Kings 8 (including verses 1, 6, 10-12, 22-30. and 41-43). See you Sunday, in person or online!
