According to the prophet Joel, God would one day empower all classes of the community to become prophets by pouring out the Spirit in a manifestation of God in wind and fire, so that all who call on the name of the Lord will be saved. Christians are blessed by the Holy Spirit, the fruits of which are wisdom and love. Breathe in this Spirit and proclaim it to people who speak all sorts of different languages. Surprisingly, you’ll find that they understand. Join us this Sunday as Rev. Teresa challenges us to live into the promise that Christ is present and alive in our midst. Her sermon is based on Acts 2: 1 – 21.
