Welcome to Advent! Over the next few weeks, we will wait and prepare again for the birth of the Christ child. On the first Sunday of Advent, there is time to encounter the presence of Christ in our waking hours. We may not be physically asleep; quite the opposite. But in our wakefulness to worldly ways, we fall asleep to the spiritual season, and so we need a wake-up call from the Gospel of Mark. Join us Sunday to wake to a new spiritual season. Rev. Teresa will help us explore the importance of being watchful and alert while we wait, in a sermon titled, “Keep Awake,” based on Mark 13: 24-37. See you Sunday, in person or online!
